Purpose: Mithoo (مٹھو) is a mobile application (Android and iOS) whose purpose is to help Pakistani parrot breeders run their aviary digitally — keeping an organised record of every bird, every breeding pair, every egg, and every hatch, and connecting breeders through an in-app marketplace. The app is operated from Pakistan by the Mithoo team.
When a user chooses "Continue with Google" inside the Mithoo Android or iOS app, Google shares the user's basic profile (name, email address, profile picture, and a Google account ID) with Mithoo so that we can:
Mithoo only requests the standard OpenID Connect scopes: openid, email, and profile. We do not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Google Contacts, Google Calendar, or any other Google service. We do not sell user data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Users can delete their account and all associated data at any time from inside the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account) or via mithoo.site/delete-account.

Mithoo is operated from Pakistan and built specifically for local aviculturists raising lovebirds, cockatiels, African greys, budgies, ringnecks, and other parrot species. The app is free to download with an optional Premium subscription that unlocks the marketplace and removes ads.

This Privacy Policy describes how Mithoo ("we", "us", "Mithoo") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Mithoo mobile application and the mithoo.site website (together, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Firebase and its sub-processors operate Google data centres outside Pakistan. By using the Service you consent to your data being processed in those jurisdictions.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see Section 7) we remove personal data within 30 days, except where we are legally required to keep transactional or financial records for longer (typically up to seven years).

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact [email protected] and we will remove it.
The website uses browser local storage to remember your selected language and uses Firebase Analytics for traffic measurement. We do not sell or share this data with advertisers.
We follow industry-standard practices including TLS in transit, Firebase Security Rules at rest, and the principle of least privilege for administrative access. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep your device updated.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in the app and on the website. The "Effective date" at the top reflects the current version.
